LOS ANGELES (April 29, 2010) – High octane multi-platinum rockers STONE TEMPLE PILOTS, CREED, GODSMACK, THREE DOORS DOWN, WOLFMOTHER, and HINDER top the long list of bands combining forces with DC3 Global to hijack the world’s biggest, baddest biker event for five full nights of undeniable rock ‘n’ roll bedlam – Monday, Aug. 9 through Friday, Aug. 13, 2010 at the inaugural ROCK N’ REV FESTIVAL, part of the legendary Sturgis Rally’s 70th Anniversary celebration in Sturgis, SD.

With an unrivaled lineup of 20 bands over five nights and spectacular fireworks displays each night in the nation’s largest outdoor amphitheater at the 600-acre Glencoe CampResort, the ROCK N’ REV FESTIVAL promises to be the hands-down largest party ever thrown at the world’s largest motorcycle event, which annually draws over a half million patrons.  World famous showman Jim Rose and his side circus are set to emcee the five-day event and give attendees a show they will never forget.  Eagles of Death Metal, The Darling Stilettos, Pop Evil, Skillet, and Swayback are just some of the other bands making massive music at this colossal biker bash. Stay tuned for major announcements of many more bands being added in the weeks ahead!

Tickets for the ROCKN’ REV FESTIVAL are $45 per day, general admission ($150 for a five-day pass), and go on sale FRIDAY, April 30 at NOON EST through Ticketmaster.com and rocknrevfestival.com and at all Ticketmaster locations, or by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000. Tickets also will be available each day at the gate. For more information on exclusive VIP packages ($1,000 for five days), including backstage access to a VIP area to special, air-conditioned tents with private bars, motorcycle parking, luxury bathroom facilities and more, go to rocknrevfestival.com.  Deeply discounted Concert N’ Camping packages are available on the Glencoe CampResort website at glencoecamp.com. Gates open at 4 p.m. daily. Show time each day is 6 p.m. For complete information, call the hotline at (800) 272-4712.

Jim Rose will be Master of Ceremonies at the ROCK N’ REV FESTIVAL all week and will have his wildly acclaimed modern day sideshow, the Jim Rose Circus, unfurling shows between acts nightly.  The sideshow originally came to prominence on Lollapalooza’s second stage, when it was called “Lollapalooza’s word-of-mouth attraction” by USA Today and later, “the absolute must-see act” by Rolling Stone.   This is the first time in almost 20 years that Jim has returned to the stage at a large-scale festival as Master of Ceremonies.

“This makes Lollapalooza look like Littlepalooza,” says Rose. “This makes Ozzfest seem like Blahfest. Screw Bonnaroo, Rock’N Rev is epic!  And I plan on bringing thrills, chills and doctor bills, many of it never seen before.”

Everything about the ROCK N’ REV FESTIVAL will appeal to the “leather and chrome” sensibilities in everyone who attends, from those who embody the biker life style to the more casually minded weekend warriors and their families. The Vendor Village will be overflowing with an assortment of food, clothing, gear and other accessories, including loads of top tattoo artists and the best barbeque and related cooking specialists from the nation’s sauciest hotspots such as Austin, Memphis, Chicago, and New Orleans. The overall Mardi Gras atmosphere will recall some of Europe’s top festivals, with a decidedly American flair. After all, biking and rock ‘n’ roll are two of America’s greatest heritages.

While live concerts always have been a staple at Sturgis, there never has been such an incredible concentration of high caliber performers being showcased in a five-day stretch. The unstoppable combination of first-class concert promotions in a first-class camping resort facility is unsurpassed anywhere.

Glencoe CampResort is world-renowned for its clean, comfortable camping facilities, complete with full-service bars and restaurants, in close proximity to the city of Sturgis, providing a resort-like experience for people attending the Sturgis Rally. Still family owned and operated, Glencoe is continuing to develop and improve in conjunction with DC3 Global’s new festival initiative ignited by the ROCK N’ REV FESTIVAL. DC3 Global already is raising the bar with plans to expand its festival presence not only at Glencoe, but around the country. DC3 now is helping to oversee and accelerate the continued expansions and upgrades at Glencoe, already including the purchase of additional shaded acreage for camping, the planting of hundreds of new trees, and everything from roads, and the upgrades of bathrooms, food stands and shower houses.

DC3’s co-founder, Daniel E. Catullo III, has been involved in the Sturgis Rally since 2006, as exclusive producers of TV, pay-per-view and DVD specials for RTR in 2006 and 2007, and an executive producer of the Rock ‘N Rally Festival (2007). He’s combining his years of Sturgis experience with the tremendous resources of DC3 to significantly up the ante at Glencoe and launch an entirely new national brand for years to come with the ROCK N’ REV FESTIVAL.

“I’ve always seen the need for something large scale at Sturgis,” says Catullo, an award-winning concert video producer and director as well. “We’re looking forward in coming years to see that incredible amphitheater fill to capacity every night. The grounds at Glencoe CampResort are an ideal and idyllic setting to host a multi-day music festival.”

“This is a new beginning for us,” adds Sean Clark, owner of Glencoe Camp Resort. “We’re just so excited with the development of this new ROCK N’ REV FESTIVAL brand and the high degree that DC3 is going to be taking it around the country through other motorcycle festivals.”

Stone Temple Pilots, Wednesday’s headliner (Aug. 11), is one of the rare bands able to sweep the airwaves with a fresh tune while clogging classic rock playlists with its catalog. Between the Lines, the first single from the grunge-era giants’ self-titled comeback album due May 25, is reigning in several formats at rock radio, and topping several rock charts. Indeed, you can turn on any rock station and hear Interstate Love Song, Vasoline, Plush or other ’90s STP hits, but the biggest news is that people are as eager to hear the band’s first new music in a number of years, just as they’ve been through career sales of more than 12 million albums in the U.S. alone. One of STP’s special guests will be Wolfmother, the Australian band whose song “Woman,” off its acclaimed self-titled 2005 debut album, earned their first Grammy (Best Hard Rock Performance). Widely considered one of the all-time top acts to emerge from Down Under, their sophomore album, Cosmic Egg, was released last fall  Fronted by the bone-chilling vocals of Andrew Stockdale, Wolfmother is frequently compared to Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, though Stockdale himself says the band brings “a mix of the playfulness of Earth Wind and Fire with the intensity of Black Flag”. With Stockdale a mainstay out front, Wolfmother will be debuting a new lineup at Rock N’ Rev that includes drummer Will Rockwell-Scott of the Mooney Suzuki. Another STP guest, Swayback, is a breakout Denver band that Spin magazine says “recalls Velvet Underground if they were forced to share a cell with a codeine-addled Danzig and fed a steady diet of Factory Records.” Legendary British producer Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones) has taken Swayback under his sonic wing and recorded music linking its sound with classic purveyors of innovative, guitar-driven rock ‘n’ roll. Other special guests on the 11th include Eagles Of Death Metal. More at www.stonetemplepilots.com, www.wolfmother.com, www.theswayback.com, and www.eaglesofdeathmetal.com.

Creed, headlining Tuesday (Aug. 10), is one of the most successful rock bands of the past decade. Since their formation, Creed has sold close to 35 million albums and millions of concert tickets. The songwriting team of Scott Stapp and Mark Tremonti is considered one of the most prolific in rock history.  Their new CD Full Circle, debuted at #2 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart last fall. Special guests of Creed will be Skillet, a hard rock outfit breaking from the Christian rock circuit to the secular music world in a major way. The Florida band’s latest album, Awake, debuted at No. 2 in Billboard chart last summer, spawning major radio hits in “Monster” and “Hero,” while World Wrestling Entertainment used both songs in promoting a variety of events. More at www.creed.com and www.skillet.com.

Godsmack, Monday’s headliner (Aug. 9), is making its triumphant return to Sturgis after packing the house in 2007 with one of the most memorable performances in the event’s history.  The Boston rockers are touring to support their fifth studio album, The Oracle, being released May 4. It’s the band’s first studio effort since 2006’s IV, another platinum-plus trailblazer for the group, debuting at #1 on The Billboard 200 chart (their second #1 debut following 2003’s Faceless) and harking back to the signature sound of multiplatinum masterpieces like their five-million-selling breakthrough debut album and 2000’s Awake. Godsmack’s most recent album release was the acclaimed greatest-hits package, Good Times Bad Times….Ten Years of Godsmack, delivered to fans at the end of 2007. Godsmack’s special guests will include propulsive Michigan fist-pumpers Pop Evil and swaggering chick-rockers the Darling Stilettos (featuring Guns ‘N Roses’ Matt Sorum on drums). More at www.godsmack.com, www.popevil.com, and www.darlingstilettos.com

“Anyone who doesn’t experience Sturgis during bike week is really missing out on a piece of true American Culture,” adds Godsmack lead singer Sully Erna. “Raw, hard and as real as it gets, Sturgis is a place to rock hard and ride free and Rock N’ Rev is the festival to be at!  Can’t wait to get back!”

Three Doors Down, headlining Thursday (Aug. 12), is an American post-grunge band from Mississippi who have sold more than 20 million records worldwide and has had numerous #1 singles including the 2000 hit “Kryptonite.” The band often performs more than 300 concerts per year and have toured with such other artists as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Megadeath, Nickelback, Shinedown, Daughtry and Alter Bridge to name a few.  Joining 3DD are retro rock juggernauts Hinder, who update classic raw riffs, big hooks and vocal harmonies, with modern guitar sounds. Their triple platinum debut, Extreme Behavior, documented the decadence and strained relationships of these, whose subsequent cover of Steppenwolf’s “Born To Be Wild” for NASCAR last year was a natural extension of their lives on the road. More at www.3doorsdown.com and www.hindermusic.com.

Jim Rose is a veteran sideshow performer and founder of the Jim Rose Sideshow, which was formed in the early 1990s and made famous in 1992 when they toured on the Lollapalooza Festival.  Rose will perform between acts with his sideshow buddies and give patrons the show of their lives, which often includes masochistic deeds and stunts.  More at www.jimrosecircus.com.
