As technology progressed, people began camping in private rail cars that were pulled to sidings along train routes. While there were individual RVs built prior to 1910, that was the year that marked when the first auto-related camping vehicles were built for commercial sale. These vehicles were the forerunner of today’s modern RVs.With the economy starting to recover and financing becoming more available hitting a RVing is becoming even more popular.
