BLM needs help at Rasor Road, Sept. 25

Dear Volunteer,

In recognition of the 17th Annual National Public Lands Day, the Bureau of Land Management is seeking 200 volunteers to participate in a variety of work projects in the Rasor Road Off-Highway Vehicle Area on Saturday, September 25, 2010. The staging area for this project is the Beacon Station located at 66150 Rasor Rd. in Baker, CA.

This year projects will consist of erecting a trash fence along public land adjacent to the Beacon Station, cleaning up the public land along Rasor & Basin Rd., installing interpretive signs & maps on information kiosks, and
signing the OHV boundary. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m. with work
activities starting at 8:00 a.m. and continuing until lunchtime.
Interpretive programs and volunteer recognition are scheduled for the
afternoon. The BLM will provide lunch and the first 200 volunteers will
receive a t-shirt.

We hope this project is of sufficient interest to generate your support once again. You can register online at
http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/fo/barst…/register.html. If you
have any questions please call (760) 252-6011 or email me at [email protected].
